This newsroom uses AI services in defined places, says where, and keeps the published record independent of them.
Where AI is used
An optional reading assistant can answer questions about a story, and optional narration can read it aloud. Each answer discloses the model that produced it. Newsroom AI assistance happens under editorial review before publication.
Answers are grounded and cited
The assistant may only answer from the story and its evidence record, with citations to the passages it used. A question the record cannot support is refused rather than guessed, and a correction to the story invalidates answers that depended on it.
Limits and independence
AI features are optional and fail closed: if the provider is unavailable, reading continues unaffected. Canonical articles, evidence, and corrections never depend on an AI service.
